walkingtheline

walking the line, a film about migration borders, Claudia Pilsl

I undertook this piece in response to the Brexit vote in the 2016 UK referendum which has deeply affected me in my identity as an EU citizen and migrant worker. In my research as a 3d3 scholarship student at Plymouth University I investigate digital porosity in relation to photography. Therefore, I decided to work with mined images from the Internet to investigate how borders might be mediated through the Internet and this might relate to what I perceive in my daily life.  In particular, I focused on the borders and no man's land of Austria, the country of my birth, and interrelated them with the trajectories that I construct through the practice of everyday life and indeterminate walking.
