Sweeping Moment

sweeping moment, by Claudia Pilsl

Sweeping Moment was made in response to the Herschel Museum Garden in Bath. It reflects on the element of chance in William Herschel’s life, a musician and serious amateur astronomer who happened one night to discover Uranus.

The piece was shown as part of the Tempered Ground - curated by Danielle Arnaud, Danielle Arnaud, Jordan Kaplan and Philip Norman - at The Museum of Garden History (2004) in London. The exhibition was accompanied by a catalogue.
