Sweeping Moment

‘Sweeping Moment’ was made in response to the Herschel Museum Garden in Bath. It reflects on the element of chance in William Herschel’s life, a musician and serious amateur astronomer who happened one night to discover Uranus.

The piece was shown as part of the ‘Tempered Ground’ exhibition at the Museum of Garden History, 2004. The exhibition was accompanied by a catalogue
