Escalators 1 – 12, 2002

Size: 12 x 50 x 50 cm

This piece is a 12-part photo sequence showing the escalators at Tate Modern. The images were not chosen at random but were all taken in sequence from one roll of medium format film. Needless to say, that this was not the only role of film that the artisI took.

This piece is part of the Tate Modern series and was shown in a solo show titled ‘space encounters’ at the Landesgalerie am Oberösterreichischen  Landesmuseum. The show is documented in form of a catalogue.

Turbine Hall 14 – 06 - 02

This is a three part photographic sequence showing the large piazza like entrance area of the Turbine Hall. Hereby the artist attempted to record the momentary position of the individual within this public space. This piece is part of the Tate Modern series and was first exhibited at the group show ‘species of spaces’ at Danielle Arnaud, 2002.  The series in its entirety was shown in a solo show titled ‘space encounters’ at the Landesgalerie am Oberösterreichischen Landesmuseum and is documented by a catalogue.

In suspense, 2002

This piece is part of the Tate Modern series and shows the escalators between two floor levels. For this piece, the artist deliberately reversed the image to enhance this suspended moment. This piece was shown in the group show ‘species of spaces’ at Danielle Arnaud, 2002. The series in its entirety was shown in a solo show titled ‘space encounters’ at the Landesgalerie am Oberösterreichischen  Landesmuseum and is documented in form of a catalogue.
