Palais Liechtenstein no.16 18
Palais Liechtenstein No. 16-18

Palais Liechtenstein No. 16 – 18, 2001

This work is part of a series and is based on the Palais Liechtenstein in Vienna. The Palais Liechtenstein is a 18th century baroque town chateau with an abundance of oak panelling and marble and was temporary home to the Austrian Ludwig Foundation (1979 to November 2000). The reason why the artist chose this museum is that she wanted to investigate the presentation of contemporary art in an anachronistic context.

The work was shown at Werner Klein gallery in Cologne, at Fotogalerie Wien and at Galerie im Bürgerhaus, Neunkirchen is documented in the catalogue Zwischenräume.
